we bought a bungalow!

As many of you know, we spend a lot of time in Indiana with our Littles. We’ve been traveling there for a week at a time, 5-6 months of the year (Covid notwithstanding) for the better part of 3 years. We’ve stayed in hotels and AirBnbs, and have talked about buying a 2nd house there. Then life and…other things (IYKYK)…got in the way, and we put those plans on hold. We trusted the Universe, and remained a stand for what is important to us – consistent connection and a firm commitment to our family.

When we were in Indiana in early May, we looked at a handful of properties with our Realtor. He arranged a showing for this cute little bungalow on the day that it listed. After a super quick walkthrough, we said “yes, please!” and by that evening, we were under contract! It’s a crazy market, and we are SO grateful to our Realtor for making things happen quickly.

I only have listing photos of the interior, and (frankly) they just don’t do it justice. It’s tiny (~800sq feet), with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It has a fabulous fenced backyard, and a super cute back deck. Dan wants me to mention the garage, but instead let me tell you that it has an awesome kitchen. Ha! The property has been updated inside and out, so we’ll just have to furnish & decorate (hellooo Prime Day!). Our plan is to AirBnB when we aren’t there, and use this as a stepping stone for more investment properties in the area.

We are really excited to have a consistent place to stay that feels (almost) like home for our family. In addition to our regularly scheduled parenting time, we’ll also be able to more easily pop into town when the Littles have special school & sports events. Connected and committed.
