2020 Project Life® : complete
Today, I’m celebrating (and sharing) my COMPLETED Project Life®. Anyone who has participated in this year-long creative project knows that it takes commitment, consistency, and a certain amount of “let’s git ‘er done.”
Since I’ve blogged some photos/stories from Jan-March, I’m going to pick up where I left off and share a few peeks from April-Dec. There’s a full length video at the end of the post if you just want to skip ahead!
April brought Wilder’s 7th birthday, lots of time indoors, and peeks of Spring-like weather.
In May, we celebrated Hope’s birthday (yes, Tracy….she really turned 28!) and Mother’s Day.
The Littles came home in June, for an extra-long summer. As always, it’s so much fun to have them home!
Was this July or August? I don’t remember, because our summers are a blur of activity!
We transitioned back to an adults-only household in August…
We enjoyed brunch outdoors for as long as we could…so lobster benedict (my fave) is featured a number of times.
Austin turned 24 in August, and we ate more lobster! Dan & I traveled to Indiana for parenting time, and we all had lots of outdoor adventures.
That photo of the trees & hanging platforms? Hands down one of my FAVORITE photos of the year. Outdoor adventures & fall leaves FTW in September & October.
November’s big stories included Austin moving to Vancouver, and (duh) the election (which, for the record, was TOTALLY VALID AND NOT IN THE LEAST BIT RIGGED).
And, finally….December! We had a few weeks of empty-nest, and then the Littles came home for an extended Winter Break. As a reminder, I also completed a December Daily® album, so the majority of my photos/stories live there.
A crazy year, for sure!! In a strange way, it was also a year that reignited my love of memory keeping. Ali Edwards has often shared that memory keeping is how she makes sense of her life. I totally get that. Project Life® definitely helped me remember to look for the good…

Thanks for sharing this–love your pages. Also, loved reading about your creative goals for 2021. Here it is February and I’m just now solidifying my own list.

I’m not happy to be reminded that Hopey is 28. I don’t feel old enough for her to be 28. But yes to everything else. And you pulled one of my favorite quotes in there: I’m also happy to live in a world where there are Octobers!
