wrapping up

It’s Wednesday. It’s a bullet point sort of day….

  • I finished the last of my Christmas cards last night. I think. I was working off of 2 different address lists, and got kind of confused about where I was checking off names. So I may have missed people. If you are one of those people…Merry Christmas. Sorry. I also may have sent 2 cards to some people. If you are one of those people…Merry Christmas. Twice.
  • I still need to wrap gifts. Santa doesn’t wrap presents at our house…he just leaves them in front of the fireplace on Christmas morning. But I need to figure out which presents I need to wrap, and which are from Santa.
  • Still a few last stocking stuffers to buy. But I think all of the "real" gifts are done. Except for the one that I assigned to Rob. For his Aunt & Uncle. Who am I kidding? I’ll end up getting that on Friday.
  • Random follow-up – takeout was a great idea. We ordered Chinese last night. Tonight is a yummy/easy breakfast casserole. Tomorrow night is soup. At some point, I still need to grocery shop for Christmas dinner.
  • I almost committed the cardinal sin of scrapbooking…running out of adhesive. Yikes. I order it in bulk from Viking Office Products (b/c I’m too lazy to run out to Williston for it, Jean). So I ordered 15 refills last night. Along with 2 fine point white Sharpies (in case you want one, Karen). It will be delivered tomorrow. Fast shipping. Free shipping. Sweet.
  • I am hoping to do a lot of baking on Friday. Perhaps a pumpkin cheesecake. Because I have made one before, and it was good (said to someone who doesn’t believe that I can make one). And some Peanut Butter Balls. And snowballs (or Mexican Wedding Cookies, as we call them).
  • Speaking of Friday, we’re paying Hope to babysit on Friday night so that Rob & I can go downtown, walk along Church Street, look at the lights, buy a few stocking stuffers, and have a glass of wine. That’s one of the perks of having a teenager, right? Buying grown-up time?
  • Did I mention that I’m off work from Friday through January 1st? WHOO HOOO! I’m getting those twinges of fear about what will happen with my projects next week, but we have a little mantra that we repeat during stressful times at work…"It’s ONLY lip balm." Just a little reminder to ourselves that we’re not curing cancer…we’re making lip balm

Have a good day everyone!

Hi there…just stopping by since you drop in to read my blog now and then and had to say that I love your Christmas banner. Also, when you say “lip balm” is it gender-neutral and is it a great product? I’m wondering cause when Chip and I were out for my birthday he used 2 different products I had and still complained that nothing works on his lips. So- thought maybe you could tell me about the lip balm you make and maybe it would be Chip’s favorite wonder-product, cure all. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas! BTW- now I’m 33…I guess I’ll be reading your 30-something for a few more years. =)

Mmmmm pumpkin cheese cake! I hope to tackle some Holiday baking Friday too. I commit scrapbooker’s sin all of the time, calling my hubby on his way home from work, “Hunny will you please pick me up some more adhesive..pretty please?” I’ve been searching high and low for a white Sharpie..jealous. 😉
Okay…..What do you mean “It’s only lipbalm!”? For some of us, it’s a life sourse! 😉
