we’re back!

Got home at 9:30 last night. That five hour drive is loooooooooong. We broke it up with a stop in Latham (Krispy Kreme – yum), Clifton Park (Target & Michaels), and Glenns Falls (Red Lobster – yum again). We were laughing about how we ALWAYS eat like crap when we go on a road trip…must stop at eateries that we don’t have in VT.

All in all, a good weekend. The reunion was a tad bit awkward simply b/c I knew so few people there. Rob is alot older than his cousins on his Dad’s side of the family, so it always feels like we don’t have much in common. Because, well, we don’t. Still, it was a good time. I’ll post some pics tonight.

We did accomplish some school shopping. Got some great deals at Gap Outlet (including some BTS clothes for ME…who says you have to actually go back to school?). All the shopping did leave me wondering something….why do they even bother making jeans that are "slim through hip and thigh"? Inquiring minds want to know.

A happy little trip to Michaels in Clifton Park. I wanted to get the new HOF book. I was going to buy a Sunday paper at Target so that I could get a 40% off coupon out of it. Those who know me know that I HATE to pay full price for idea books/magazines. Can you believe that Target doesn’t sell papers? Huh? So, I decide to go to Michaels anyway…maybe they won’t even have the book. They did. I had to have it. I took it to the register, grumbling to myself about paying full price. Just for kicks, I said to the cashier…"you wouldn’t happen to have any extra coupons in store, would you?" And, lo & behold, she handed me a form, and said that if I would just jot down my name & zip code, she’d give me 40% off. YAHOO!! It’s the little things that make me happy.

Well, I’d really better get ready for work. I don’t want to go. June (my bestest work friend, lunchtime walking buddy, & cubicle neighbor) is off today. So it will be a boring day! LOL
