I’m not altogether thrilled with my pictures from this weekend. some are really grainy, some are just plain blurry, and some are just too…I don’t know…snapshot-ish. I don’t know how to get natural, unposed pics of people. It seems like people are trained to sit up & say "cheese" when a camera appears. And, there’s something funky going on with my camera AGAIN. On the last roll of film, there was a little line through almost all of the pics. I thought that maybe it happened during the developing. But it appeared on both rolls from this weekend, so it must be in the camera. ARRGGHHH!! Anyone know what that could be?

In other news – ready, or not, here I come! I’m headed out to CA in September. I’ll be in San Francisco on 9/8, then Fresno 9/9 & 9/10. I fly out of Fresno on Sunday at 5am (ouch). So, all you Fresno & Modesto (yes, Karen, I’m talking to you!) folks, let me know what your schedules look like – I’d love to see you!

The camera – you could have something on the lens itself, or on the mirror inside the camera. It could have been a bad batch of film if both rolls were from the same box or if you bought them at the same time. My suggestion to you is to take one more roll of stuff you don’t really care about and get it developed. Make sure the roll is new. If you get lines, you definitely know it’s the camera. If not, then it was the film. It also could have been where you had the film developed. Maybe something in their machine scratched the negatives.
California – I will be in town and available all weekend. It’s Patrick’s weekend with daddy so if you want to see him, I’ll make arrangements with Kevin to borrow Patrick for a while.
