the birthday boy

Today is Austin’s 9th birthday! That calls for a baby vs. now comparison, doesn’t it?

So, a big Happy Birthday to my little buddy. We went out for dinner last night, b/c he’ll get out of football too late tonight. His class has a field trip to a nearby farmstand today…pumpkin picking, cider donughts, warm apple cider. Play date at Ben’s after school. Then presents & something special for dessert tonight. A fun day all around! His party is this Saturday…so lots more pictures then!

I’ll be spending Austin’s birthday at home. Driving + muscle relaxants = not such a good idea. I went in to work yesterday…just didn’t take the meds…but the pain was distracting. So, the world of lip balm will march forward without me today (honestly, I’ll be checking email all day, and answering phone calls…I’ll just be in sweats & bare feet). I will likely have to take Hope to the Dr later, anyway. She’s been complaining about her knee for a few days, and she spent most of yesterday’s game on the bench. Not good. 

That’s all the exciting news from here today. Perhpas I’ll get some groovy scrapbooking done today, inspired by muscle relaxants. I don’t think a paper trimmer qualifies as heavy equipment, do you?
