One day last week, Austin asked me to make sure that I had some free time this Sunday. He wanted to go to a local farmer's market & buy lunch from a great local mexican chef. I'll rarely pass up a direct invite like that, so off we went. You can imagine our disappointment when we discovered that the vendor wasn't there – apparently his wife has been sick, so they were sitting out this week. I have to say that Winooski has done a great job creating a new & improved downtown. 

The falls look like rapids from all the rain that we've had this year. I adore the sound of the water…when I close my eyes, I pretend that it's the ocean. 

This is the time of year when we have pretty flowers AND pretty leaves. Yes, fall is lovely in VT. 

After our stroll, we headed to downtown Burlington for a quick lunch (who knew that Boloco's spicy tofu burrito was so good?) and a little bit of shopping. We stood in a loooong line at B&Js for a taste of Schweddy Balls…well worth the wait!
