no turmoil, just a turkey

Happy_thanksgiving
A really funny, totally sweet, but insanely demanding blog reader/friend who shall remain nameless {Roman} told me that I needed some turmoil to blog about b/c I was getting boring. LOL. So, my apologies…no turmoil here, just a turkey…(and I’m talking about the picture, not the reader).

Just trying to get my act together today and start on some turkey day prep. But it’s 11:30 and I haven’t gotten anything accomplished. I’m off to Ritz to pic up a couple of prints, home to put them on the layout that’s 1/2 done on my scrap table, then off to the best scrapbook store in the whole world (can you tell that Jean is reading?) to see my most favorite scrapbook store owner (sucking up in hopes of getting more DT stuff to work with today).

Then it’s home to clean & start cooking. Baking, specifically….pumpkin pie & tollhouse pie. Oh, and the dough for the monster cinnamon rolls that we’ll eat in the morning. Rob’s Dad, stepmom, & brother won’t be here until really late tonight, so I still have plenty of time to get stuff done. And, fortunately, they aren’t AT ALL particular about things like fluffy towels and perfectly matched sheets…after all, they’re staying with us. If they wanted all those guest amenities, they’d stay at the Holiday Inn.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family & friends!

YOUR BLOG isn’t boring! I love your blog. I missed reading it yesterday. Happy Thanksgiving, and boy that tollhouse pie sounds yum. I think you need to share that recipe 🙂

I think Roman has a point.
Your blog has jumped the shark. Now you’re going to have to have another kid or something. Hey, it worked (sorta) for the Brady Bunch (cousin Oliver), Gimmie a Break (Joey Lawrence), Family Ties (Brian Bonsall) and Growing Pains (Ashley Johnson). Bringing something small and cute into the story arc gets you at least one more season, and you can recycle topics and plotlines.
You could also try a visit to Hawaii/The Grand Canyon/Europe and have one of the kids get lost/hurt in a surfing accident/or tangled up in international Cold War espionage. Set up a cliffhanger in this case, and spread the story out over two blog entries.
Or just title one of your entries “A Very Special Being 30something”. That worked for Blossom.
Oh, you’re not making this stuff up?
This is really your life? Awkward.
Well, anyway, I for one can’t wait for the “Thanksgiving Episode”.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Be happy you have an uneventful like at the moment…at least you didn’t have to get through a 4 year old’s birthday party with 20 preschoolers…or have your 4 year old draw three giant circles with plus signs through them on your kitchen table with a permanent marker…yep, I would be just happy if I were you with a few days of an uneventful blog. But, if you DO want to add some spice, I’m with Matt…gget yourself pregnant!!! That would be a lot of fun for us : )

    Matt and Renee….too darn funny!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! We are celebrating Saturday so it’s decorating and an experimental rotisserie turkey on the BBQ for Thursday!

Tollhouse pie. Just reading those words makes my mouth water. I’m guessing it was a hit!
I laughed out loud about the trumoil comment. I was thinking that the other day: drama makes for an insane life, but a great blog entry. Hmmm, interesting concept.
