Hi ho, Hi ho…

it’s BACK TO SCHOOL they go!!! Wooooo Hoooooooo!!! The strike ended a little after 9:00pm last night. Granted, there will be classrooms full of sleepy, cranky kids who stayed up past their bedtime for 2 weeks straight…but at least the classrooms will be full. I’m sure it will take us the week to get back into the routine, but that’s okay. I’m SOOOO happy that they’re going back to school!

It’s also countdown to the craft show. This will be a week of late nights & strong coffee. I’ve also moved into my "certain failure" phase. I’m so highly critical of myself. I have these moments of thinking that we’ve done everything wrong…that we’re going to fall flat on our faces. The logical side of me (it’s all fine) will fight with the emotional side (loser) all week. And then the show will start, and I’ll just settle on "it is what it is"…whether that’s good for bad. Either way, it will be an experience to blog about, so it won’t be a total waste, right? LOL

Ah, since y’all know that I like to whine about VT weather…here’s a good one for you. Gina called me on her way to work yesterday morning to tell me that her car was covered in snow. Yep, it’s arrived (for you Fresno folks – snow is this white stuff that falls from the sky in flakes when it’s winter).

Okay, off to nag Hope to get ready for school (what a beautiful thing!)….

So that’s what snow is. I kind of remember being in it once – in Russia in January. I suppose it would be totally out of line to tell you that it’s 78 and sunny here today. 🙂

YES! they went back. How absolutely thrilling for you.
Now, about the fear of failure, that is a good thing to a degree. Do what I did and become a Poser this week. Then, when you experience success, you will become authentic. It worked when I went to St. Louis… maybe it will work for your craft show.
Snow. Some people think of another word when the term “four letter word” is uttered. Not me. When I refer to a four letter word, I am talking about snow. I put it in the same category as that other bad word. Unspeakable. Like I said, you wear VT well. I’m impressed.

Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, your kids went back to school and I’m happy for you but I’ve been WAITING to hear how it turned out!!! Did the teachers get what they wanted??? The district??? I know you could CARE LESS as long as your kids are back in school but I’m sooooooooo curious!!! And, some of us actually drive miles to seek out snow!!! I think we’ll be doing that over Christmas break.
