creative projects in 2022

Before I get to memory keeping / creative projects for 2022, let’s do a quick recap of 2021….

My plan to move away from a chronological Project Life® format, into a story-based format, was mostly a fail. I did start out the year telling a few stories, and then I quickly found that the pressure to find a story that fit that month’s kit just didn’t work for me. I did work through several smaller projects – Day in the Life™, Pieces of Me™, and Pieces of Home™. I’m putting all of those into my 2021 9×12 album. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been going back to 2021 stories and choosing what feels important to tell. I’ll share my 2021 Story Album, and my OLW® album, in the coming weeks.

So what does that mean for 2022? It means a return to monthly Project Life®! It’s a familiar, comfortable format for me. I’ll be using a 9×12 album, and continuing to use a variety of page protector sizes. I may even venture outside the page protector a little more often this year…walking on the wild side!

I’ll be documenting my OLW® in a 6×8 album again, using Vicki’s Fernwood collection as my consistent design theme. I’ll be using past lessons from Ali’s classes, and also using the album as a place for all stories related to EASE.

I’ll also be creating more Chatbooks this year. I love, love, love the simplicity and ease of creating photo books for travel and parenting time adventures. I’ll also continue with the 1 Second a Day project.

Will I blog more in 2022? Who knows. I still prefer blogging for telling longer stories & sharing bigger projects, so I suppose that will continue. While I love IG and Tik Tok as much as the next girl, I am still a faithful blog reader. If you’re still showing up here, thank you!
