a weekend away.
The kids & I headed to Maine for a quick weekend away. Fresh air, crashing waves, and good food. Simple, but excellent.
When I told Austin that we were going to a restaurant called Gather, he said "Wait, let me guess…communal tables, and local food? You are so predictable." Ha! No communal tables, but yes to local & delicious food, awesome vibe, and a waiter that looked like Russell Crowe.
Hope leaned left, I leaned right….it looks like we don't like each other, but we really do!
Maine knows how to do lighthouses.
The sound of the ocean never fails to soothe. Or, as Austin says, "The ocean is rad, man."

Wow – flashback! Hope looks so much like you did back in high school/college. I just lost 20+ years of my life…
I’m hoping to get us to the ocean sometime this summer. Just have to figure out where.
