a bit on blessings.

I mentioned that Lee inspired me to download & begin reading E-Squared. The book's subtitle (for those who didn't click through) is "nine do-it-yourself energy experiments that prove your thoughts create your reality." Y'all know how much I adore a self-help assignment…

Sinkblessing

The first experiment is one that basically calls out the universe, proving (to yourself) that "there is an invisible energy force or field of infinite possibilities." The method is deceptively simple – you declare your intention to recieve a blessing/gift w/in 48hr hours. You don't get to specify the blessing, but you do get to ask for a clear sign. I dutifully read the chapter, declared my intention, and waited

Okay, actually…I cheated. I kinda tried to specify the blessing. What can I say? I have control issues. When the blessing that I specified (cheat) didn't manifest at the pretty-much-exact time that I specified (double cheat), I pouted for a few minutes. Then, I started actually paying attention….and the blessings started adding up…

*A friend came over to help figure out why/where my sink is leaking. A blessing b/c I don't like to deal with household issues on my own.

*Kelly offered to fuel some creativity in my Project Life album. A blessing b/c WITL reminded me why these projects are important.

*I got a call to do a last-minute mystery shop – with a bit extra $ for the urgency. A blessing b/c I needed to go to that store anyway…and now my purchase was basically paid for.

*A friend asked me to take family photos for her. A blessing b/c, frankly, cash is tight right now, and every little bit helps.

*Lee also inspired me to look into floatation tanks. I not only found one locally, but (inspired by Colleen), I reached out to the owner to suggest a barter…and he accepted. A blessing b/c I am SO DANG EXCITED to try out a sensory deprivation tank.

Pretty cool stuff, eh?
