2020 Project Life® : stories
It’s 2020, we’re in the midst of a global pandemic, and….I’m still doing Project Life®!! It feels like the perfect time to look for the good and document the stories of our lives.
That’s my focus for this year – stories. In case you missed it, Story is my One Little Word® for this year. What does that mean for this project? It means that I’m not holding myself to a weekly or monthly cadence. I’ll be adding words & photos that tell the stories of our life this year.
Other changes that only some of you will be interested in – I’m using a 9×12 album, and a variety of page protectors. I have a TON of stuff left over from Ali Edwards Stories by the Month™ last year, so I’ll be using up cards & embellishments from my stash. This is a minor detail, but big for me – I’m not rounding corners!! I’ve been rounding corners in ALL of my Project Life® albums, so it feels like a big change. 🙂
Borrowing from Ali (always), I started out my album with 9×12 enlargements. The photo on the left is the first page – photo taken by Dan in Cancun this year. The backside is a photo of our recently kinda-remodeled dining room-into-kitchen area.
The next page is an insert about my One Little Word™, and then a bit of an “intro” insert (you can see this in the video).
New Year themed products pull double duty for me, since my birthday is just after the start of the year. That leads into the story of our trip to Xcaret (just south of Cancun, Mexico)…
As I mentioned in the video for my 2019 Project Life, I have Chatbooks (that’s a referral link if you’re interested in a discount) for many of our trips (and the intention of getting them printed for ALL of our trips), so I’m not worried about including a ton of photos in this album. Memory keeping comes in a lots of forms around here.
February stories include our parenting time in SB, and an Ali project that I completed while I was there. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this selfie project – so fun!

And then…Irispalooza! Two of my besties and I headed to Florida at the end of Feb to hang out with Dan’s Mom for the weekend. It’s our 2nd Annual trip, and definitely one of my fave new traditions.
