2020: february stories

February is the month we love to hate…ironic, given that it’s a month focused on love! February is cold, icy, and dark around here, and simply surviving equals success. (grateful for Trader Joe’s daffodils, and the only orchid that I’ve ever kept alive long enough to rebloom!)

We headed to Indiana for our February parenting time. As always, it was an action-packed, fun-filled week. We had date nights, volunteered at schools, watched movies, swam in the hotel pool, went to a Beatles show at the Planetarium (Dan & Mackie), visited a fabulous exhibit at the art museum, and practiced our pool table skills in the hotel lobby…

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with presents, candy, and rootbeer floats.

Just after getting home from Indiana, I turned around and headed south for a dose of Florida sunshine with two of my besties. This is our 2nd annual girls’ trip to visit Iris…so we named it Irispalooza 2020!

We lounged poolside, shopped, danced, and ate great food – all the elements of a perfect weekend!

We even kayaked (and paddleboarded) with manatees! I mean really…how often can you say that?!?

Couldn’t be more grateful for a fabulous mother-in-law, and amazing friends.

We made it…February is over! Looking forward to more light, more warmth, and more stories in March.
