2013 WITL : monday
Monday started out with my gas tank on empty, which is symbolic of so much for me right now. I've been thinking a lot about how to make my mornings more intentional in order to create the type of day that I want to have. Yesterday didn't feel highly successful on that front. A few notes –
*I recently moved offices, and my new space has a ledge that is just wide enough for my plant, products, and my Curly Girl block art. That makes me happy.
*I often take photos of meals/food from the top, focusing on the textures and colors. This time, I set my camera on the table and clicked. I loved how the edges of the bowl and cup are both uneven.
*It was a chilly morning, so I dug out a sweater and boots.
*I am making my way back to the gym. Next goal? Pack the bag the night before.
*The look on Austin's face in that pic? That reflects a foodie fail. I had planned on making roasted radish ricotta pizza. Then I discovered that I only had about 4 radishes. I had already spread the ricotta on the pizza crust. I threw on the radishes, and unearthed a bit of veggie pepperoni & a bit of mozzarella from the fridge. The result? Not. Good. Actually….really bad.
*Given all the Monday-ness, and the bad pizza, I had two cookies. It happens.
Process thoughts – I brought my DSLR to work, and then left it in the car. I took approx 30 photos throughout the day, and nearly 1/2 were with my iphone. I froze a bit on how/what to capture during the day. I need to get a bit more creative about work photos….and I also want to capture more interactions. I also didn't take notes throughout the day, and found myself trying to remember details. Will put pen to paper (or fingers to keys) more.
