winter staycation.
The week btwn Xmas & New Year's is a strange combination of activity and relaxation. Having the kids home + not working = a strange, sort-of relaxed, but still busy, pace. This week will involve -
*playing taxi to one kid who picked up some shifts at Hollister, and one kid who is spending as much time on the mountain as he can.
*going to the grocery store every other day – b/c I am indecisive, and b/c Hope drinks A LOT of orange juice.
*finishing up some 40@40 projects.
*a little bit of cleaning (don't get excited – I really mean picking up candy wrappers)
*wandering around Lowe's fondling tile and coveting light fixtures for the kitchen.
*finishing up my Dec Daily SmashBook, and getting ready for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Smash (more on that later).
*thinking about going to the gym. note the distinction btwn thinking and actually going.
*straightening my hair b/c it means that I can spend less time showering, and more time lounging in my pajamas. don't judge.
*a shameful amount of pinning.
*writing a 2012 social media plan for Mineral Fusion. (freelancing doesn't come with time off)
*writing a few posts for Parenting Squad.
*making a few things for Fiskars. (did you hear? Jenni Bowlin – seriously cute!)
*all of the above may be accompanied by chocolate and/or coffee and/or wine.
