Couldn’t think of any snappy title for this post (if you have a suggestion, let me know…I’ll edit). It’s Monday morning…

School is officially closed. It will be hard to drive past the schools this am & see the teachers picketing. According to media reports, the last time a strike happened in Colchester, it lasted 2 weeks. If that’s the case this time, the kids will be in school until July. That sucks. I hate that it came to this. I haven’t followed all the details very closely. I haven’t read the 32 pg fact finders report. It’s not that I don’t want to be informed, it’s just that I know that I can’t do anything. We’ll just take it one day at a time.

Got some scrappin’ done this weekend. Woo hoo! I think I need the adrenaline of "last minute" to really get motivated. Plus, I had this moment of "quality vs. quantity" clarity. I’d much rather run out of good product than be sitting on mountains of bad product. I’ll be wicked busy every day between now & the show. I was also reminded this weekend that it’s not just about the profit & loss…it’s the fact that we’re really doing this. Ideas into action.

Birthday party report: boys are definitely more difficult than girls when it comes to sleepovers. They are SO rowdy & loud & physical. Holy cow! Austin was even a little stressed at first…"Mom, someone is going to get hurt or break something." But it all worked out okay. Although, I have to admit that I whispered to Rob @ breakfast, "uh, Liam had that black eye when he got here, right?" They’re really a great group of kids…even the two that wore Red Sox shirts to our house. 🙂

I guess I’ll be calling the Dr this morning about my back. The quick fix of meds this week hasn’t worked. The pain is much worse. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain…and I was in tears last night. Not much else to say about it. Just OUCH.

It’s supposed to rain all week, so I’m really hoping that I didn’t lose my window of opportunity to get some cool fall pictures. I really love fall in Vermont. I took out a bunch of fall & Halloween decorations this weekend. I particularly love fall candles. Yankee Candle has the best candles…and I’m not just saying that because one of my best friends manages the local store. I’m saying it because she regularly invites me to their Friends & Family sale! Anyway, I love fall weekends at home with candles burning in every room, a fresh pot of coffee brewing, and just enough chill in the air to need a sweatshirt. One funny little story about all those candles…my FIL was here for Thanksgiving one year & I was going around lighting a bunch of candles. When I got to about the 10th candle he said, "What are you trying to do…bring someone back from the dead?" Gotta love his take on ambiance, huh?

YANKEE candles are the bestest! I just received an order on Friday :)I haven’t gotten to experience the joy of boy sleepovers yet…but I know it’s coming! My one boy is rowdy enough for me….I’m gonna be skeered when he wants a sleepover! LOL.
Oh, and love the bringing back the dead comment. Too flippin funny!

Boy Oh Boy! – Those guys are gonna be heartbreakers (when they actually like girls :))Sounds fun though! congrats on your accomplishment on getting some albums done. I say go with quality ..that way when you’ll get a feel for what people want and don’t. And then you can take orders even!
I loved the FIL comment too!

“even the two that wore Red Sox shirts to our house”
OMG, I’m ROFLMAO at that line!!! I wouldn’t have let them in my front door….j/k. (This is a strictly Yankee household, btw)
I hope the doctor can give you something for your back. Pain is no fun and nobody should have to endure anymore than they can handle!
Yankee Candles = heaven in a jar.
