she & he | sept 2015

She has been tree-planting in Ontario & Alberta this summer…& came home for a few days to shower, do laundry & visit. In that order. 

She returned with a dark suntan, sun-lightened streaks in her hair, and a dozen cuts & bruises (I didn't worry so much this time, being the seasoned tree-planter Mom that I am…ha!)

She is now back in Halifax, impatiently awaiting her post-grad work visa. 

She missed seeing her brother by one day…a scheduling challenge that made us all sad. 

He has been working for Dan & hanging out with friends this summer…& came home to shower, eat, and (rarely) do laundry.

He packed up clothes, supplies, music, & snowboards and flew to British Columbia to start university. 

He reminded me at the airport that we'll see each other in a month for Parents' Weekend (conveniently scheduled on his birthday weekend).

He sent me a video of his dorm (complete with a mountain-view balcony), promptly making me sob uncontrollably. 

Man, am I lucky to have these two….
