#reverb14 | at the start

At the Start | Where did you start 2014? Give us some background on this year.

I spent some time reading through blog archives to reflect on the beginning of the year. 2014 started with a sigh of relief. 2013 had been so very hard…I was anxious for a fresh start. I was happy that my brother was still in VT (I miss him!!). I was in the midst of doing the soul cleansing work that the new year (and my birthday) demands. 

As I read over the posts from January 2014, the word that came to mind was honest. Some things were hard. Some things were less hard. I was determined to find glimmers of happy. My sense/memory is that I spent the beginning of the year asking…& listening for the answers. I was trying to break the verybadhabit of writing the endings to every story, and trying to develop the habit of simply living the story. 

Other details: I started 2014 in a fairly new role at work and in a fairly old house that I wanted to sell. I was about 20lbs heavier than I am today. I was trying to remember to take care of myself (ie acupuncture, barre, and supplements). I was beginning to look Forward (my 2014 One Little Word). ________________________
