project life : week whaatttt?
Or, in Austin's words – "Dude. You should really get this thing on track."
Yes, dude, I should. And I am – sort of. The state of the union for me & Project Life looks something like this -
- I'm taking lots of photos. Many with my iphone. Many on instagram.
- I'm saving stuff, although I'm trying to take Barb's advice on organizing it.
- I'm still completely in love with the project, and just giving myself some needed space to get things done.
- I'm more mindful about my days. This is, by far, the biggest benefit of Project Life. I notice, record, and reflect on daily stuff.
- I am contributing to the financial health of the scrapbooking industry. In other words? I'm buying washi tapes & paper & STUFF.
- And, of course, I'm having a BLAST with Project Life Planned.
Speaking of (seque into "sponsored post" here…) Project Life Planned, we're up to something fun! We've partnered with a brand new kit club, Gossamer Blue!
Gossamer Blue (http://www.gossamerblue.com) is a new monthly kit club dedicated to inspiring and motivating memory keepers and crafters alike. Each main kit is well coordinated with a mix of products from multiple manufacturers, and also includes Lori Whitlock (http://www.loriwhitlock.com/blog/) die cutting and digital elements.

This is gorgeous! I suppose eventually I’ll be doing this too. Right now I am taking far too many classes so I just can’t, but it looks SO FUN!

I love coming here and reading your posts – its my first year doing PL too and I am grateful that it has got me back to scrapping – the taking photos bit is a constant in my life anyway, but the scrapping, not so much, I have let it slide over the last 2/3 years.
PL suits me and my life right now, lots more stuff is getting documented, but I have slipped a few times during the year :
At the beginning I was late to the party, so I started at week 4 and never went back and did those missing weeks even though I have the journaling.
By week 24 I had accepted a position on a national kit club DT so we have 6 missing weeks there too
I began again on week 31 , but in order to stay “caught up” I am “scrapping on speed”
photos journaling and not much else – not how I wanted it to go but its getting done at the moment.
I do want to get those missing weeks done AND I am committed to doing this again next year (albums already ordered) I too have learnt from my mistakes this year and understand the pitfalls and time constraints better now so I will be ready for PL 2013
Not sure how I am going to fit in my December Daily this year though unsure if I should combine DD and PL – How about you ??
