light & shadow.

The combo of Austin's amber eyes and the light in the kitchen was interesting yesterday, so I asked him to let me snap a picture. I didn't adjust for the light correctly, and ended up with this shot – which, as it turns out, I love. 

We had a lovely quiet Thanksgiving, and spent much of the day anxiously awaiting my brother's arrival. I did manage to over-roast some of the meal, but we managed to eat it. 🙂 After dinner, we went to a friend's house for dessert, port, and coffee. It was a good day. 

Today, Austin is snowboarding, and Robert is getting settled (he'll be here through the end of the year). We ate pie for breakfast, and finished off a pot of coffee in record time. That's what a thanksgiving staycation is all about….
