let's read

#katrinareads – March

March was a slow reading month for me – I finished 2 books. Accepting that this is just the pace of life right now.

I am the Messenger – this was a work book club pick. It’s a YA novel that winds through the mystery of the main character receiving playing cards in the mail that require him to discover & complete certain tasks. It was an enjoyable read that kept my attention through the end.

Girl, Stop Apologizing – I get that Rachel Hollis has become a bit polarizing. This book didn’t read as life changing, but I did enjoy parts of it. Sure, many of her messages are recycled from other writers/teachers…but if those messages are heard by a new audience b/c they follow RH? That’s great, as far as I’m concerned.

What did you read in March that you loved?

I read “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens because she was interviewed on television and the concept of a story about extreme isolation sounded interesting. It was quite a departure from what I usually read, but I enjoyed it immensely.
