just what I needed

We got home last night at nearly 10:00, after an out-of-town basketball game, and a quick visit at a friend’s house (who happens to live in that town). As I pulled into the driveway, Rob woke up and said "oh, we have to get my car." So we dropped the kids off, and headed back to the middle school to get his car. At this point, I’m feeling like I might just throw in the towel…that this might be the year that I just lose it, and curl up in a corner, drooling eggnog, trying to recite the names of the reindeers. I was definitely on overload. When we got home (again), I dropped all of my stuff, took the sweetened condensed milk out of my briefcase (see? looney!), and started making the 4 dozen magic cookie bars that I needed for today’s cookie swap at work. I put them in the oven at 11:00pm, and sat down for a minute to go through the day’s mail. And, that’s when I got just what I needed….From_sonia
a holiday RAK. My friend, Sonia, sent me this awesome Christmas card & waaayyy cute altered planner. Sonia, YOU MADE MY DAY! Thank you ever so much.

And speaking of internet/bloggin/scrappin friends….it’s all Wendy’s fault. It’s totally her fault that I was standing in the grocery store on Sunday, saying to myself, "you really should try that Nutella stuff that Wendy is always raving about." Nevermind that I’m talking to myself in the grocery store about a product recommendation from a woman who I’ve never met, but who’s blog I read, and therefore I consider her a blog-friend who is wise & wondeful, and wouldn’t lead me astray. LOL. So, I bought a jar…and OH. MY. GOD. Seriously yummy. So freakin’ good. (oh, and Wendy…check out their site where you can enter to win a CASE!)

Off to find something thermal to wear on this bitter cold morning…here’s the weather right now (yikes):

yay, i AM so glad you liked it 🙂 I’m glad I helped make your day a bit brighter, and possibly helped you from turning into a drooling lunatic. LOL
Oh, the Nutella…great stuff. We first discovered that about 13 yrs ago in Germany. Cool stuff!

Awesome RAK! Sonia was inspired to send it to you when she did. Blog friends… it doesn’t get much better than that.
{{{HUGS}}} I’m so sorry that you are on overload – it is apparent that you have hit that wall. I have not advice because I’m the worst when it comes to meltdowns. All I can offer is a hug and some positive thoughts that things will begin to calm down and look up. It sounds like the season can’t get much worse for you. So, on the bright side, that means improvement is just around the corner. Hang in there (even if it is only by your fingernails).

Okay…so I am laughing OUTLOUD, when I saw “Wendy” I thought for sure you weren’t talking about me… Then I saw that special word “Nutella”! OMG, she is talking about me! LOL SO SORRY I put all that pressure on you to talk to yourself and reach for that darn Nutella jar at the grocery store. ha ha Doesn’t it rock though!! So glad I could share my passion…ha ha ha Tis the season!
And SERIOUSLY… I AM SO gong to their site for that case of Nutella, just think of what we could do with that! I didn’t even think to check out their web-site, is this payback for forcing you to purchase a jar of a bazillion fat grams and calories?? LOL
Holy freezing batman! It is super cold there. We had a low yesterday of about 28degrees and that was early morning, the high was 60! Still cold to me.
PLEASE SHARE your Magic Cookie Bars recipe! Sounds delish.
Ps.. thanks for making me laugh!
    Wendy :o)

Oh, I have recipes for Nutella. I will email them to you. I can’t believe that you can even function in that kind of cold. I would take 5 feet visibility and a high of 50 anyday. I share your overloaded feelings. I am feeling way overloaded. I was saying to myself all the way to work this morning, “Just shoot me and put me out of my misery.” Why is the “happiest” time of year always so stressful? I suppose for the same reason that the “happiest place on earth” is always crowded beyong belief leaving you wondering why you thought it was a good idea in the first place :). I would say “Bah Humbug” here, but my house is decked out for the holidays and it would sound hypocritical. Ha. Ha. Ha. Merry Christmas.
