hey, I’m 35!

Happy Birthday to me! I am officially in my "mid-30s" now…should that make me feel old? I hope not! I think I’ll like 35. Has a nice ring to it.

For the past several days, I have been looking forward to a special birthday event….my birthday blog on my Mom’s blog! My sister got her birthday post in December, so I’ve been anxious to read mine. THANKS MOM!! 🙂 Now everyone else has to go read it, too…Middle Child. (and can I just point out how beautiful my Mom is in that picture?)

No big plans for today. We went to dinner last night b/c the boys have late basketball practice tonight. In honor of my birthday (LOL),  Hope managed to miss the bus this morning…so we started out with A LOT of grumbling. Now I’m off to work, where I’ll act very surprised when my co-workers bring out a birthday treat & start singing (as if we don’t do this for everyone!).

Since it’s my birthday, this blog gets to be all about me today (wait, it is everyday? oh well, play along)….so leave me a birthday comment! Pleeeaaaasssseeeeee!!

edited to add: Raise your hand if you knew that my vehicle inspection expired at the end of December. Note that my hand isn’t raised. But the nice officer that pulled me over on my way to work would be raising his hand. Oh yeah, you’d better believe that I played the "please don’t give me a ticket on my birthday" card…and thankfully drove away with a written warning.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you have a great day! I’ve really enjoyed getting “to know” you these past few months. You’re a great gal!

Happy Birthday (and it’s even on the right day this year). I hope you have a good one. I’ve never been pulled over on my birthday (knock wood). All I know is I can’t cry on demand and I’ve never been able to talk my way out of a ticket. So congrats on the written warning. For those of us who live in CA, what’s a vehicle inspection? Is that like registration? I know I sound dumb, but it can’t be helped.

Egads, you’re officially old now, and in 10 days, I’ll be old too. Despite this, have a happy day. Seriously, have a good day – now that you’re getting on in years, you may (God forbid) have a stroke or something, so every day counts.
Oh, and take your calcium supplements – you’ll need them, ‘CAUSE YOU’RE OLD!
(What, you expected something mushy and sentimental? No dice, kid, I’m still a 9th grader at heart.)

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Katrina!
Isn’t that funny, my inspection expired in December too. Let’s see how long it takes me to get pulled over.

Happy Birthday from one (almost –b-day is the 13th)35 yr. old middle child to another! I loved your mom’s entry. And had to laugh about the Katrina/Tina thing. I planned on calling my middle child Allie. She insists she is Allison, although she’ll let us and my parents call her that without grief. . .usually.
Hoping you have a great birthday!

Happy Birthday sweet Tina! :)I meant Katrina. You have to excuse me–if you’re old, that means I’m ancient and entitled to a “senior moment” now and then. Love ya!

So the thing you were worried about the morning you were driving back to your house when the accident happened, happened?! That you got pulled over for an expired plate tab…and it all worked out just fine. Must have been some of the prayers that have been said on your behalf the last few days. I just see a lot of irony in all that. I’m so glad to hear that you had a lowkey birthday. Wyndham had a great day today- not overwhelming- but enough to make her realize we were singling her out from the other kids and she had the spotlight all day. I made some fat pretzel sticks dipped in white almond bark and covered in colored sprinkles for her to hand out at treat time at preschool. The kids loved ’em. I hope you love being 35 and that good things will come your way. Happy, Happy birthday- from a happy lip-balm coated, blog-lovin’ new friend in MI.

Happy birthday again. I actually thought about calling you to say happy birthday, which I figured would be quite a shock, but I realized…I don’t have her number!!! Ha ha ha…I’m such a good friend!!!

Happy Birthday!! Loved your mom’s blog, that last picture looks pretty much like 9th grade or so, brings back memories.
Great job on handling the cop!! Well done! Luckily getting pulled over is one concern I don’t worry about much anymore.
Here’s to wonderful 35. It’s not that old! (Can you believe it’s 2006?)

SNORT! The vehicle inspection thing makes me giggle.
    Now, about your birthday…
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PEOPLE IN MY CYBER WORLD. Katrina, I hope your day was everything you wanted it to be. And I wish you a wonderful 35th year. 35 and every year thereafter were great for me. Something about finally being a real grown up, and all that jazz….
Again, happy birthday. I’m sorry I missed your bloggy party.
