four goals

four goals (sort of) for june 2014.

four. june 2014.

Hellooooo from somewhere between Chicago & San Francisco! I had a picture with text all ready to go…and neglected to upload it before I dashed to the airport. I should probably add "handle the dash" to my goals list. I texted Barb when I got to the gate saying "I wish my travel days were less stressful/rushed." The need for a travel routine will be a post for another day. Anywhooo….

These feel like baby goals for June – nothing too intense because, well, SUMMER.

1. Be outside as much/often as possible. Bike rides, waterfront walks, farmer's market strolls…these are a few of my favorite things. I'm also pondering adding beach meditations to my mornings. I live a mile(ish) from the beach, so why not?

2. Read 5 books from my summer reading list. I marked one book off the list on my first flight today – finished up Lean In (more on that soon). My big reading list decisions are – Nook vs. buying vs. library. I'm not always patient.

3. Make popsicles and/or ice cream. I think that I've expressed my frustration with finding non-HFCS frozen treats that don't cost a small fortune. It's time to take the matter into my own hands.

4. Decide/draft a photography marketing plan. I don't do a ton of freelance photography these days, but I really dig senior shoots – and tis the season! Last year, I only did a handful of shoots – all siblings of previous clients. I'm thinking of increasing the hustle this year.

#3 is on my summer list. I want to try a few new ice cream recipes. Em is the master here. She shared some great mint chip with me last week.
