feeling a wee bit

overwhelmed. That’s why I haven’t been blogging in the past couple of days. Just have a million things going on, and at least another million swirling in my head. Even though I’m at a computer for more than 8 hours a day, I kind of need to be in the right frame of mind to blog. I haven’t been in that frame. Not entirely sure that I’m there now!

Another crazy busy weekend…

*Hope went to see a movie on Friday night. With a boy. If anyone is saying the four letter word that starts with D…SHUT UP. They just went to a movie. Let’s not freak out. LOL. I actually even hesitated to write about it there, b/c I’m sure that there’s at least one person reading this that is saying "Oh my. She’s too young to go to the movies with a boy." But y’know what? I didn’t hesitate for a second to give her permission to go. He’s a friend, and they went to a movie. End of story.

*We set record time picking out a Christmas tree on Saturday. We had decided to skip the whole cutting down our own experience this year…so we stopped by a local place, jumped out of the car in 25 degree weather, and picked out a tree as quickly as we could. It’s lovely, really. We decorated a bit tonight, but we’ve still got alot to do.

*We went to see Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire on Saturday. Wicked cool. I really dig all of the Harry Potter movies.

*After HP, we went to Starbucks. There was something just so cool about sitting at Starbucks, drinking our lattes & hot chocolates, and chatting. Seemed very "grown up." Of course, it’s also teaching my kids to have very expensive taste in hot chocolate.

*Took Hope & a friend to the mall this morning for some quick Christmas shopping. They were hilarious…wearing santa hats & jingle bells & dashing around buying gifts for their friends. Good kids.

*Hopey had a mini-metro basketball game. She was awesome…9 points, 6 rebounds, and some unbelievable defensive moves. Who says that white girls can’t jump? I told her that her theme song should be "I believe I can fly." They won the game handily…36-6.

Well, that’s a quick recap for ya. Now I’m off to finish up at least a hundred things before bed. Then up at 4am for a 6am flight to Ohio. See ya on Tuesday.

I think it’s totally cool that Hope went to the movies with her boy friend (not boyfriend, implying romance). Although, you seem a little…defensive about letting her go. Boy friends are cool. Boyfriends (even at my non-middle aged age) are a pain in the butt :). And I will stop complaining about it being in the mid-fifties here. 25? Are you serious? It actually gets that cold somewhere? LOL. Ho.Ho.Ho.

The only thing I hate about Hope going with a boy is the fact that it only means we are getting older. Wasn’t that us just yesterday? LOL Thabks for the post- I was missing you and your entries. 😉
