celebrating “A” with B&J

Tryouts are over, the roster is up – and Hope made the "A" Team! Woo Hoo! More good news – B & R from the "overheard" post a few days ago also made "A." It was a happy mood all around in our house last night. Hope enjoyed her celebration treat – Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. One might think that, living in home state of B&Js, we’d eat it all the time. Nope. We don’t often justify the expense (in dollars AND calories) to buy B&J. When the kids were smaller, we had a sitter whose Mom & sister worked for B&J. One of their employee perks is 3 free pints a day. Our sitter would bring some of those pints to our house when she babysat for us. Needless to say, after she moved away, we joined Weight Watchers. Last night, I indulged in only one bite (okay, okay, TWO bites) of Hope’s flavor – Half Baked and one bite (really, just one) of Austin’s flavor – Fossil Fuel. Yum to both.
