I resisted. I told myself that it was for SAHMs and/or moms of small-children-doing-cute-things. I reminded myself that I am thisclose to having my "scrapbooker" membership card revoked. If I was scrapohlic, my confession would sound something like this…"forgive me, Ali, for I have sinned…it has been approximately 14 months since I've told any of my life stories in photos & patterned paper."
Then. I started reading blog posts about Project Life Twenty Twelve (I told you, I'm a sucker for that alliteration). I blame this all on that Zielske woman. Damn her for reminding me that simple is good. Damn her and her free download (hey little girl, I'll give you a cookie if you get in the windowless van…"). And then, as I told myself to stay strong and resist the Zielske charm…
Elise pushed me over the edge. She's choosing Project Life.
And for the love of all things adhesive & American Crafts D-rings…
so am I.

You are hysterical. Yours will be awesome. I may or may not be throwing my hat in the ring as well. Maybe we can all encourage each other in a way such as this, “HEY! Get off your ass and scrapbook!!!” 😉

You will love it – I did 2009 and kind of burned myself out with “rules” about a picture a day, every single day. I skipped 2010 and I missed it, so I did 2011 and was kinder to myself and was so much happier. I’m hoping you’ll share – I feel like this year was boring with my son at college so much of the time. I’ve signed on to Stacy’s “12” this year…..hoping to recharge my batteries!

I laughed so hard at your post, I been avoid project life, thinking it not for me, saying all the same things as you, and half a dozen more. Then today as i was putting together my move more, eat well album. I looked back on all the “scrapbooking” (I use this term loosly), I did last year, which amounts too, two never finish LOs, and a handful of mini albums that lay all put together but await those pretty photos and lovely words. So I am now off to order my project life material, in the hopes maybe this year i will document my life alot better than last.
