My brother & I set out on a Sunday drive today, in search of covered bridges and an owl (my brother is a birder…that's really a thing). Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the owl, but we did see…

A grey & brown bridge, 

with a speed limit.

A river with a current, which is pretty unusual in winter.

A red bridge with a cute flower sign. 

And a bistro with a pretty tasty grown-up grilled cheese. 

Not pictured – the Trapp Family lodge, a few totally funny signs, numerous wrong turns, and a stop for chocolate, cheese, and coffee.
