a living room refresh at #thepalace…

I’ve mentioned the possibility of new furniture in previous posts…and we’re finally doing something about it! I’d been wanting to replace my couch & loveseat for a few months. They’re in decent shape (and will be on craigslist soon for any locals that might be interested), but I’ve had them forever. Or at least it seems like it. At first, I was pondering a bright, colorful, modern couch. Turns out, finding color & comfort, at an affordable price, is not the easiest mission. So, we ended up going with a more neutral palette. I’m a fan of throw pillows (much to Dan’s dismay), so I’ll add in pops of color with those. The accent pillows that come with the long couch will get covered, or tossed. I’m super excited about the round chair! We stayed in an AirBnB last year in BC that had a round chair, and I’ve wanted one ever since. The pantone match is a dark, dark navy…I think it will sit well with the grey long couch (which is more blue-grey than it looks in that image). My next mission? A new area rug! Totally open to suggestions on colors…
