a change is gonna come.
Do you ever get that feeling of restlessness that tells you that it's time for a change? (No, Em, I'm not talking about that look on Miri's face). For me, it's sometimes a case of wanderlust…a reminder that travel is in my blood. Sometimes, it's merely a reminder that status quo just feels so static.
As you know, I have a big change coming up – Hope is moving to college in one month. One. That's crazy talk. It's a change that impacts our family, our daily life, and the frequency with which clothes go missing from my room. It's a change that will rock my world…but I am soooo excited for her.
I've been steadily working on changes in my health & fitness this year. You might remember the results that I got in April during my WITL project. I'll head back to the Dr in a couple of months to see if those pesky numbers have moved. I've made some positive changes in my health over the past year…and I'm anxious to make more. I committed to a bit of a challenge with my trainer this evening (more on that later)…if it doesn't result in change, nothing will.
I feel like there are more changes on the horizon for me…so I'm trying to listen to both the whispers and the shouts, and find the courage to take a few little leaps (baby steps are okay, right?). Just pondering.
*this post is sure to illicit an email from my Mother asking me what is really going on. All's well, Mother. I blame you for my gypsy blood.*

We are such kindred spirits – I am right on the cusp of major change here too – done a lot already and I can see the fruits of my efforts all culminating quickly on the horizon. Life is good right? Thanks for sharing your changes.. it inspired me greatly.

Change IS good…sometimes I need to remind myself that.
I wish my change involved coming to see you, though!!

I think that the whispers and shouts might be suggesting you move to Milwaukee. I know Milwaukee at first sounds kind of lame, but it is pretty much right in the middle and Em and me. You would have constant company!

I used to get a “hit the road” urge every spring!! Sometimes it was almost painful. So many years of moving and traveling gets to be habit. You start to crave change just because it seems normal. Yes,I think we must have gypsy blood (actually Frisian and French, but don’t tell your brother). I have stories of our early family members moving in groups of twenty to over one hundred to seek a “new land” where they could be happier!!

Baby steps are the best sometimes. And I love that you added a post script about your mom. : )
