2013 PL : complete.

I've been off of work for a full week, and virtually every day, I've said "I should work on Project Life." And virtually every day, I found something else to do. At one point, Robert (my brother) said "If you're not enjoying it, why do it?" Valid question. Here's why – b/c completing this project is an important part of wrapping up the year for me. Also, b/c it's really the "catching up" that I don't enjoy. So yesterday, I cranked up the heat in my office, put on You've Got Mail (inspired by KP), and got to work (full disclosure – later in the day, I switched over to Scandal and opened a bottle of wine.)…

Week42

I had somehow skipped posting week 42.

Week44

Week 44 – National Honor Society Induction & acupuncture. Halloween card from Cathy Zielske.

Week45

Week 45.

Week46

Week 46. Truth – in the past, I would have felt compelled to add an insert for a "big" trip. Work trips will continue to be a part of my normal, so I just wanted to keep this one as "ordinary" (if that makes sense at all).

Week47

Week 47. It's hard to read the quote in this pic, but it says "So this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."

Week48

Week 48. May still add our Thanksgiving menu as an insert. This was also the week that my brother arrived (yay!). Thanksgiving card is from Cathy (again).

Week49

Week 49. Tourist-y stuff with my brother, a fun Klout perk, and starting to decorate for Xmas.

Week50

Week 50. Work party + food + Xmas. Isn't that pretty much the theme for Dec?

Card_pl

I included our Xmas card as an insert between weeks 50 & 51.

Week51

Week 51. A busy week – 2 days of facilitating an off-site workshop, a quick trip to NYC, and then off to Montreal to pick up Hope and her BFF.

And….week 52. Robert commented that I was leaving out several days of the year by "ending" with Christmas. I'm totally okay with that, and I think he'll get over it. If there's something spectacular to document in the next few days, I'll add an insert.

I printed the "reflect" entries from Reverb Remix 13, slid them into 8.5×11 page protectors, and stuck them at the end of the album. Since I still have some room in this album, I will probably add a large envelope to hold the Christmas cards that we rec'd.

And that's a wrap, folks. I'm taking a different approach to Project Life in 2014, and I'm super excited to share that in the next few days….

Yay! I’ve been playing catch up as well. And I’ve decided two things. 1 – I am going to continue this b/c I love looking back and 2 – I’m not letting myself get as far behind next year. If I have to use one spread for multiple weeks, not going to stress over it and it does NOT have to be perfect. You continue to be an inspiration. Thank you.

can’t wait to hear how you are gonna change in up for PL in 2014…I keep wavering back and forth on doing PL —it’s fun when I have time, but usually ends up being a stressor since I never have time. thinking about NOT doing PL though makes me sad. Can’t win. Ugh!!

I’m so happy that you’ve continued with PL – I wish that I had done this when my kids were little! I agree, getting behind sucks. I’m not even sure what perfect looks like, so I’d say that you’re doing just fine!
