That's a lot of driving, folks. Thankfully, I was well-trained to road trip when I was young! It's much easier now, having traded KOA campgrounds for Courtyard hotels, and being able to find ample WIFI. What in the world did we do before smartphones?
Hope's original plan was to stay in Halifax this summer….but despite lots of job applications, she was unable to secure full-time, rent-paying employment. She was feeling super stressed about trying to stretch waitressing & babysitting & too-few hours at a retail gig. So, Austin and my "vacation in Halifax" turned into "operation bring Hope home."
…We had sushi pretty much the minute that we arrived. Two days of driving makes you hungry!
…We walked a TON. I love all the lush green on campus.
…I really love the Halifax waterfront. It's urban, quirky, and peaceful…all wrapped up in one.
…We took a drive to Peggy's Cove
…I got all teary-eyed over being at the ocean with these two amazing kids.
…I took early morning shots of rooomies (missing Caroline!)
….and this girl left her Halifax home for a 2 month stay at her Vermont home.

That must be a bit bittersweet for her! Love those photos though…I should really road-trip out that way at some point. I’d love to see how different that part of Canadian culture would be from our Ontario ways!
