Running a bit late on this month’s post – let’s blame travel & time change, shall we?
*our first Littles visit in their other/new home town is complete. More thoughts on that in a future post.
*a drawer/closet clean out that helped to refresh my thinking on a capsule wardrobe. Still not strictly following the practice, but certainly more pared-down than before.
*routines to assist with seasonal affective disorder. I’ve written about this a number of times over the years – the difficulty of dealing with the darkness & the cold. SAD wasn’t really a thing for me in the past couple of years, but this year it has already started to have an impact. So I’m being diligent about supplements (Ritual, vitamin D, calcium + magnesium). I pulled out my light box to use in morning meditation. And, I ordered heated seat covers for my car.
*travel plans – probably my favorite thing to create! Halifax this month, a quick D&K getaway next month (location tbd), and Cancun in January. Let’s go! (I totally agree with this Wanderlust article on travel)
*a #cz30daysofthankful project. I’m documenting on Instagram, and will have printed as a Chatbook at the end of the month. Having a gratitude practice is such an important part of self-care & healing from stress.
*hot tea & warm slippers…tis the season for cozy.
*six months of marriage this month! If we had it to do all over again, would we still have gotten married during all the craziness of this year? Absolutely. #lovewins
