Cab rides make me carsick

Useful information for you – just in case you ever accompany me on one of my NYC trips. Not too worry, though, it’s just a woozy, icky feeling with no results. Anyway…

I was up at 4am today for a quick trip to NYC. I know that some of you with little ones are saying "cry me a river!"…but remember that my days of waking up to feed babies are looooonnnnnnnngggggg over. Anyway, I enjoy my trips to the city, even if they are for work instead of play! Things that I enjoy….

*sitting at Starbucks, drinking a skim latte, and people watching while I waited for our salesperson to arrive from Chicago

*eating a $25.00 lunch that was less food than you’d get at Quizno’s for $6.00 (oh, the "enjoy" part is that my expense account covers it)

*working with fun, creative people at BBW – a good reminder that I DO enjoy my job

*reading Real Simple magazine on the flight home

All in all, a tiring but good day. Oh, did I mention that it’s cold tonight?? It’s 55 degrees – which is downright chilly after the heat that we’ve been enduring.

Hey CA friends – did you feel the earthquake? I read about it and thought about you guys.

Plane rides also give me time to ponder things. Today, I pondered weight loss and debt loss. On the weight loss front – I lost 30 pounds a while back on Weight Watchers. Although I haven’t stepped on my scale recently, I would estimate that I’ve gained about 10lbs back. I need to get moving again. On the debt loss front – I just feel like I’ve lost my way. I need to find my discipline again. It’s fairly simple, really. We have a lot of debt…and debt sucks. I think I’ll reread The Automatic Millionaire.

Well, I’m a day late on another circle journal….must get it done so that I can mail it tomorrow.
