2018 OLW: choosing a focus practice…

Although I’m not taking Ali’s OLW class this year, I know from IG that her focus in March is too choose one thing to do every day. Obviously, this aligns very well with my One Little Word®…practice. Here’s what I’m considering focusing on in March…

  1. a yoga practice – I’ve practiced yoga on & off for a few years, but never with any consistency. I’m considering committing to a daily yoga session (at home, or in a studio) for the month of March.
  2. a walking practice – I mentioned in January that I didn’t own a step counter. When I heard that some folks at work were doing a workweek step challenge, I bought a new Fit Bit (funny story – our company then gave out fitness trackers to everyone. So now I have an extra!). I’m now hyper aware of my daily step count. I’m considering picking a daily number (10K or 12K) to focus on in March.
  3. a writing practice – I talk (endlessly) about how much I neglect this blog. I firmly believe that sharing is a key element in creating a life that you love.So I’m considering committing to a daily blogging practice in March.
  4. a photography practice – doing Project Life® again has made me aware of how many photos I do (or don’t) take in a week. One of the acknowledgments that we regularly give the Littles is “nice noticing!”…we really encourage them to observe as a mindfulness practice. Photography is a terrific way to observe. I’m considering committing to a daily photo practice, with the intention of noticing more in my everyday life.

So, March 1st is tomorrow. Recognizing that I’m not eliminating any of the above as practices (ie, if I choose walking, I’ll still be doing yoga now & then)…which do you think that I should choose as a daily practice?
