what are you waiting for?

A small observation for today…

Becky (one of my BFFs) and I had an email conversation about waiting last week. I don't remember what prompted it, but we both quickly rattled off what we're each waiting for – waiting until I sell the house, waiting until I lose 10lbs, waiting until summer, waiting until the weekend, waiting until the chores on done…and on & on. I realize that this sort of "the grass will be greener when" thinking isn't new, but as I continue the practice of learning to live mindfully in the present, I'm more aware of when I wander down that path.

Good things come to those who wait.<– I get that patience is a virtue and all, but I'm done with waiting. Let's just get on with it.

I too am waiting for our house to sell so we can move from iowa to new hampshire. I feel like m life is on hold, everything is packed except just what we need to get by on. It is hard. Up and down emotions. 70 days and wer’re still waiting. We live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Hope yours sells quickly! Thanks for the encouragement!

Random fact – I lived in Wilton, Iowa for a year when I was really little. 🙂 I feel for your wait! I hope that you get good news SO soon!
