the tree planter returns.

Treeplanter2

She summoned me to Montreal just over a week ago, with a simple text saying "Mom, I'm coming home." Apparently, the number of planters in her second camp meant that the number of trees dwindled quickly, so her summer in Thunder Bay was cut a little shorter than expected. And so, she came home. She returned a little banged up – a compliation of cuts, bruises, and healing blisters proving that tree planting is not for sissies. She requested three things for her homecoming – brie, avocados, and cottage cheese (not eaten together. thankfully.) She took a few days to rest (and shower. often.), and then put on her lab coat for another stint as an R&D intern. It's good to have her home.
