one little word

grounded.

In what seems like an overly dramatic message from the universe, my SOAR print fell off the wall today. Just a few days ago, Austin tapped the SHIFT print that hangs on the living room wall and said "2014…what is it?"…meaning "what's your new One Little Word, Mom?" I've had more than a few moments this year where I have felt the frustration of not soaring. I've had more than a few moments this year where I have felt like I failed at my one little word. Sure, I flapped my wings a lot (no, really…these arms haven't seen Body Pump since 2012. It's embarrassing.)…but I never really got off the ground.

So, with a mere 8.5 weeks left in the year, I'm starting to listen for my 2014 One Little Word. I may not have SOARed in 2013, but I'm not giving up….

Kat, you have soared. You have soared alongside friends. You have caused your friends to soar, including me. Our bike ride, we soared. Brunch with the girls, we experienced soaring each in our own little ways for that I am certain. You have soared with your kids. Look at Austin prepping you for 2014. That doesn’t just happen. Your investment in the little things shows lots of soaring! You impact others positively. That’s soaring. I could go on and on but I have to get back to work! You are awesome! Smooch!
