September shook us to the core. We’ve been reflecting, replaying, and trying to make sense of it. It was just so much. I spent many, many minutes on my knees, sobbing, begging the universe/God/angels to please protect my family, and to please…for the love of it all…make the pain stop. We are just starting to catch our breath, to exhale, and to (thankfully) sleep. So, my request to October…please be gentle with us.
*A month that was heartbreaking. That’s really all that we had space for.
*New daily/weekly routines – embracing ease with eating out and sleeping in.
*Small changes in our living space – adding more plants (#barbismyguru), moving our meditation space, and still contemplating new furniture.
*Boundaries – you’ll notice that certain posts will be password protected going forward. If you haven’t already rec’d the password from me, just drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I’ll fill you in. Sometimes, in order to not feed the trolls, you have to take matters into your own hands.
*Travel Plans – we’ve booked a trip to see the Littles this month, and to see Hope & Noah next month. We’ll be using our Marriott status quite a bit in the coming months.
*The love & support that surrounded us in September. We have the best tribe ever. So much gratitude for the texts, calls, emails, and messages about both the Littles and Austin. We wouldn’t have made it through without all of you. Thank you.
*The return of Fall TV. All the YESSSSS!!! for This is Us, Scandal, and Will & Grace. (Also yes for the Urban Bourbon ice cream consumed while watching said Fall TV. Well done, Ben & Jerry’s, well done.)
*The chance to begin again. Every minute, every hour, every day.
