commitments

commitments: december 2017

It’s the last month of the year…and my last commitments post! Here we go…

Completing

*I’ve completed (maybe) a living room refresh…new couches, rug, and coffee table. Certainly the possibility of a new end table, and ALWAYS the possibility of more plants!

*a wonderful visit to Halifax for American Thanksgiving

Creating

*a whole lot of joy this month. Dan bought me a bracelet that says “right now” – and I wear it daily. It’s been an excellent reminder that I can create a life that I love right now…and December is a great month for creating joy.

*Holiday cards, shopping lists, menus, party invites, online orders – all the things.

*a December Daily album. It’s been a few years since I’ve participated in this Ali Edwards’ project. I started one in 2014, but never completed it. I just decided to jump in on December 1st, so I don’t have the benefit of foundation work in my album…and in fact, I don’t even have an album! I got that on order, and spent some time last weekend sorting through scrapbooking supplies. I’ve done the first few pages (you can follow along on Instagram), and I’m already so happy to be creating again.

*an extra-festive space for the holidays. We haven’t gotten our tree yet (we’re traveling), but I did buy a boxwood wreath, a bunch of poinsettias, and new monogrammed stockings. Can’t wait to get some twinkle lights happening!

*plans for 2018 – right now, investments & travel top the list

Celebrating

*one last trip to California for the year – with Dan by my side. I love, love, love traveling with this guy, and am super grateful that he has the flexibility to tag along on biz trips.

*ALL of our kiddos will be home this month. That’s right! The Littles AND the Bigs will be home for Christmas!! And, as an added bonus, Aunt Betty is joining us!! It’s going to be so much fun.

*the positive effects of a new supplement regimen. My naturopath changed things up a bit by adding ashwaganda, 5-HTP, B Complex with metafolin & intrinsic factor, and a cortisol manager to my supplement game. Wow. It has made a huge difference.
