An EVENT for you (gasp!)…

Journaling reads:
"A tale of 2 friends at a Scrapbook Convention~ We got lost on the way to the hotel. We went crazy at the Vendor Faire. We had good classes and (one) not-so-good class. We had to beg total strangers for their table at Margaritas. We laughed until we cried. We concocted get-rich-and-quit-our-jobs schemes. We got a few layouts done. I met a fellow Pea. We saw Becky Higgins (okay, so only I saw Becky – sorry Gina!). We had so much fun!"

Btw, I wasn’t trying to whine yesterday…really more of a matter of fact "I’m still doing it even if it’s uncool" statement. Bold of me, eh? Besides, I read on someone else’s blog that now events are in and moments are out. I can’t keep up! It actually cracks me up that so many people get caught up in the politics of scrapbooking. Now there’s a silly statement- "politics of scrapbooking." And it cracks me up that I let myself get caught up in it every now & then!

It feels like fall this morning. It’s in the mid-50s outside, and 65 degrees here downstairs. It’s time to start Back-to-School shopping. The kids don’t need much, but we love the "tradition" of BTS. I adore school supplies. I’m bummed that neither of my kids need new crayons. Maybe I’ll buy some for me! I will take this opportunity to whine about not having a Target….my favorite place for BTS shopping. Nope, not a single Target in our entire state. Not to worry, though, we’ll make a special trip when we head to New York in a couple of weeks.
