addictions & awe
My current addictions- 1)scrapbooking 2)blogs (particularly those written by scrapbookers) and 3)photography. I wrote "obsessions" first, but then worried that everyone will think I’m some deranged scrapbooking stalker. Y’know, showing up on your porch, camera in hand, muttering about the right embellishments for that outfit. Nope, I’m just an ordinary gal, who is currently addicted to these pursuits. (in case anyone is wondering, yes, I’m still addicted to coffee – it’s just reached a vital-to-existence level)
On the scrapbooking front – I really need to spend less time at this computer, and more time at the table behind me. I’m currently working on a healthy-me type journal. I also have a circle journal that is due on Friday. I don’t intentionally leave the circle journal to the last minute – it just happens that way. I work well under pressure.
On the blog front – my favorites list of "must read" blogs is growing by leaps & bounds. I’ll update the list here soon. Why do I read these blogs every day? (this is where awe comes in) Because they are real people. They are inspiring. They are smart. They are funny. They are so many of the things that I want to be! Now, if I could just get some of my flesh & blood friends to start blogs (HINT, HINT), then I’d be really, really happy! (c’mon – it’s like $5 a month, go for it!!)
On the photography front – I’m anxiously awaiting Photoshop Elements that I just ordered. Can’t wait to play. Hoping to be able to do killer conversions like Tara Whitney does. That way Hope won’t have raccoon eyes like the conversion that I posted last night (why didn’t I notice that?) I’m also looking for a photography class to take. And, I’m hoping to get my kids to quit giving me Chandler smiles – y’know that episode of Friends where Monica is trying to have their engagement pictures taken, and Chandler freezes every time? That’s SO my kids.
Speaking of photography – ahem, to my friends who were so kind to give me their suggestions on digital cameras – would you USE your digital already and send me some pics??? You know who you are. 🙂
