a beautiful place

Took this picture from the cruise that we went on with my parents. Proof postive that we live in a beautiful place. Sometimes we forget that – esp in the dead of winter – so this will serve as a reminder.

It seems official that Hope’s dad is moving to Virginia. At least it’s closer than CA, right? Anyway, Hope flew down there this morning with him (and the rest of the family) to look at houses. I smuggled my cell phone to her so that she could be in contact whenever she wanted. She called tonight. Interesting that they are looking at a 4 bedroom house. They wouldn’t buy a 4 bedroom here, but they’ll buy one there? I don’t get it. I really don’t think that her dad realizes how infrequent her visits are likely to be – between school, sports, friends, life. I’m tempted to go by his house here & take a picture of the 3 For Sale signs that he’s put up – THREE. Just in case there’s any confusion – three signs. LOL

I’m going to get another cup of coffee now & curl up with the book that I bought today – A Designer’s eye for Scrapbooking by Ali Edwards.
