I'm in Oklahoma, celebrating the life of my Grandpa – Robert Lee Simmons. Grandpa Bob died in his sleep – he passed away peacefully, bringing a small bit of comfort to the suddeness. 

Our family (like everyone's, I suppose) is flawed & fractured, but this week we're bridging distance & differences to honor the man in the cowboy hat with the mischievous smile. We love you, Grandpa.
